Meet Jackelyn

When I was in high school, I wanted to get a part time job at The Picture People. My parents didn’t want me to get a job till I had graduated. It was understandable; I mean my grades weren’t where they need to be and a job would only make things worse.

Instead, I joined yearbook staff which is actually where I grew to like photography and writing. So when I had finally graduated I applied for a job there. The photos they have on their walls are sooo adorable. But I didn’t get hired. I got a job at Quizno’s (I may not have taken pictures of any babies but I can’t complaint about that, I met really nice people there)

Now that I got a camera I was afraid of taking pictures of babies. I thought it would be really hard to get them to do what I wanted them to do, what if they cried? what if I didn’t get the kind of frames I wanted? Etc, etc, etc.

Jackelyn proofed me wrong! It was so easy to shoot her, and so much fun. Kids may not understand anything about posing as an adult model would but that makes the photo shoot a lot more spontaneous!

These are some of my favorite:
